These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of The Link, a social platform operated at connecttolink.com (the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
You must be at least 18 years old to use The Link. By using the Platform, you represent that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide is accurate. We enforce this requirement at signup and reserve the right to remove any account we believe belongs to a minor.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Provide accurate information when you register, and keep it current. Notify us at info@connecttolink.com if you believe your account has been compromised. You may sign up with an email and password or with Google.
The Link helps men find and organize real-world activities and build genuine friendships in their city. The Platform lets you browse local events, post and join activities, chat with other members, and participate in a community Board. The Link is not a dating service, and it is not a place to build a following. It exists to help people show up and connect in person.
You agree to follow our Community Guidelines, which are part of these Terms. In short, you agree not to:
We may remove content, suspend, or permanently ban accounts that violate these Terms or the Community Guidelines, at our discretion.
You keep ownership of the content you post — your profile, activities, messages, and Board posts. By posting, you grant us a limited license to display and distribute that content on the Platform for the purpose of operating it. You are responsible for what you post, and you represent that you have the right to post it. If you delete your account, your private content is removed and your public Board contributions are anonymized as described in our Privacy Policy.
This is important. Please read it carefully. The Link helps you find and organize in-person activities, but we do not organize, supervise, vet, or endorse any activity, event, or member. We do not conduct background checks on members.
When you meet anyone in person, you do so at your own risk. Use good judgment: meet in public places, tell someone where you're going, and trust your instincts. You are solely responsible for your own safety and conduct when attending or hosting any activity. The Link is not responsible or liable for anything that happens before, during, or after any meetup, including the actions of other members.
The Platform displays event listings from third parties such as Ticketmaster and SeatGeek. We do not control this content and are not responsible for its accuracy, availability, or any transactions you make with those third parties. Links to external sites are provided for convenience and are governed by those sites' own terms.
The Link is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will provide notice and clear terms before you are charged for anything.
The Link's name, logo, design, and software are owned by us and protected by law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Platform without our written permission.
You may delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us or other members, or for any other reason at our discretion. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including content licenses already granted, disclaimers, and limitations of liability — will continue to apply.
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any member or activity is safe, suitable, or as described. Your use of the Platform is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Link and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the Platform, your interactions with other members, or any in-person meetup. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Link and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Platform, your content, your conduct at any activity, or your violation of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms as the Platform evolves. We will post changes here and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
